Here Comes Finals Claus, Here Comes Finals Claus
Before I'm swallowed by the Great Grades Monster, I thought I'd share a cool thing I saw:
Just south of Safeco Field, along the railroad tracks, there sits what appears to be a series of three greenhouses placed right on top of the track. At least, that's what I thought until last night, while walking to my car, I saw them light up inside and begin to hiss. A sounder train had switched its tracks and was headed right for them. Then the greenhouses went frickin' ballistic and started shooting out all sorts of steam and smoke and . . . oh wait, that's water. That's water? Is that a train wash?! A series of three enclosures that pressure-wash and wax the train?! The bright headlights of the iron horse showed its beams through the dense mist and the triumph of kenetic energy emerged from the storm with a shine, a story, and a smile. An enthusiastic five-year-old appeared before me and explained the process, and I knew I was too exhausted to trust him. Especially because he was floating one and a half feet off the ground. Man was that train wash cool.
Take a break from finals and follow these directions: tallyhall.com, click on media, then video, then watch "Directions." Tell me that's never happened to you before. If that was at least a little amusing, you'll probably like "Break it Down" and possibly "Enchirito." "Banana Man" is still the best, second place being "Squirrels" and "Carrots." Looks like you'll be busy.
